[TOUR DIARY] Day 1, Nottingham

We  played Nottingham on Thursday night, was a bit quiet but i think we played well, and certainly wasn't the shambles we played in Brum!! Stayed at Our Man Fred's house who he shares with Faley and Potter from Late of the Pier and ended up playing the farfisa till about 3 which wasn't the best idea seeing as i had to drive 7 hours up to Glasgow! But all arrived safely, playing with French Wives who are wonderful and are very kindly putting us up for the night. Should be a good 'un, hope some of the kids come down! X

My Anima (Official Video)

"My Anima" is the new video from Mystery Jets bass player and writer/ performer, Kai Fish.

The second track from the album to be directed and produced by Kai. Beautifully shot in warm red and bordo tones, that amplify the songs sense of brooding, romantic yearning, both the song and video serve as a brilliant introduction to "Life In Monochrome", an impressive and ambitious debut album that also chronicles a deeply personal period of turmoil and transition in Kai's life.

Kai Fish - My Anima (Live Webcast)

At 8PM GMT tonight, September 6th, Kai Fish, bass player in the Mystery Jets, will be premiering the video for “My Anima”, the first single off his debut album "Life In Monochrome", as well as treating us to a special live online performance, streamed live from his home in real time on his official website (www.kaifish.co.uk).

In front of a small, intimate audience, Kai will be performing several tracks off his debut album "Life In Monochrome", which the NME described as "heartbreak in every hue... via that rare alchemical art of spinning life's dross into spun-gold song", and then showing "My Anima"- the second video from Life in Monochrome to be produced and directed by Kai, for the very first time.

Kai's passionate live performance, with his newly assembled 9 piece band, has already won accolades in its short life, with the NME praising his sold-out album launch at the St Pancras Old Church for its "lachrymose mastery". The live stream offers an opportunity to see the songs off the album performed in real-time, rendered in acoustic, stripped down fashion and set in a personal environment, from an artist who, at just 25, is both an accomplished musical veteran and exciting new solo artist.

The video premiere, and performance are webcast live from Kai’s House, tonight at 8pm GMT, September 6th on www.kaifish.co.uk

The debut album, “Life in Monochrome” is released 26th September 2011, on CD, Vinyl & Digital.
